Scientific interests

Surface science in general. Ultrathin metallic films on metallic and semiconductor substrates. Effects of quantization in ultrathin metallic films          
and suportted nanoparticles. Photoemission spectroscopies. Electronic properties and chemical analysis of surfaces (Auger electron spectroscopy -
 AES, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy - XPS, UV photoelectron spectroscopy - UPS). Structural analysis of surfaces and ultrathin films (Scanning 
tunnelling microscopy/spectroscopy - STM/STS, Low energy electron diffraction -  LEED, etc.).
